Joe Puckett has been the Editor
and Director of Code 4 since it's inception in 1995. He has also been
a member of the Region 5 Training Council since 1995, was the founding
Director of the Western States Marine Officers Association in 2001 and
currently serves as the Region 3 Regional Chair with the Oregon Criminal
Justice Association.
Joe has been employed with the Jackson County Sheriffs
Office since 1985. He currently serves as the Captain within the department.
During his career Joe has served with the Hostage Negotiation Team, Search
and Rescue Division, Marine Division and served as a Spanish Interpreter
for the department.
He has also served as an instructor in EVOC, P.I.T.,
Pursuit Tactics, Spike Strip Deployment, and Defensive Driving.
Joe has
also served the Oregon State Marine Board since 1991 as an instructor
with duties including Boating Alcohol Enforcement, SFST Instruction, Intoxilyzer
5000, Intoxilyer 1400 and the Drager 7410 Breath Testing Instrument Instructor.
